league and Yung from Korea, a regular Central Park Tennis player
played last Monday afternoon, April 18, 2005. Yung def. Pete 6-1 in
a Singles Match. "I want to play Yung again," Pete
said. "I didn't warm up properly when we started the
match." Pete is a former College player from Nigeria where he
learned how to serve and volley. Pete is a hard court specialist.
"I changed my grip to eastern from continental so I can rally more
from the baseline because clay has more rallies," he said.

Karen See (photo above in the middle) was literally
mobbed by Central Park tennis "regulars" when she
played for the first time in Central Park Tennis Center. Karen
was introduced by Koko Lani, the League Director, to most of
the regular players in Central Park last Thursday afternoon,
April 14, 2005, the opening day of the Central Park Tennis
Center. She played from 1pm to 4pm of intense DOUBLES.
"I had a great time!" Karen said. Karen is a member
of TennisNYC.com tennis league. She recently moved to NYC from
London and Australia. "It's a different tennis etiquette
here, but I had a lot of fun!" she said.
