Forehand Volley Technique!!!
Iva Filipovic is shown above getting forehand volley lessons
as part of her tennis drills session from Mr. Eric Capuano (resident
tennis instructor of TennisNYC.com tennis league). Iva did 1
1/2 hours of tennis drills last Sunday afternoon, April 17 in
Edgewater. Iva is an architect and works for Robert Stein,
Dean of Columbia University. "I am trying to learn how to
play tennis for myself and my boyfriend," she said. Iva
is an all around athlete: she goes to the gym 3x a week, she's into
swimming and scuba diving. WELCOME TO THE LEAGUE, IVA!

The Dissecting TENNIS NEUROLOGIST!
Photo above shows the future neurologist and new member of the
TennisNYC.com tennis league, David Perez. David
did a 2 hour tennis evaluation, hitting and game/match situation at
the Central Park Tennis Center, Saturday morning, April 17, 2005.
David hits the ball with a severe western grip which makes the ball
bounce really high with a lot of topspin and pace. His shots
give him a lot of advantage on clay. His topspin shots remind
me of Gustavo Kuerten's clay court game. A very experienced
tennis player, he can bring out PLAN A, B or C into a tennis match,
cut his opponents game like a skilled surgeon while drawing a huge
amount of inner resolve from his veins to win! "I use tennis to
de-stress from medical school," he reveals. David is a
3rd year Medical student at NYU! WELCOME TO THE LEAGUE, DAVID!
